This Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said his former National Security ex-advisor, John Bolton, “went overboard” in politics toward Venezuela.
«I disagreed with John Bolton in his attitudes about Venezuela. I think it went a long way, ”Trump said in response to a question from Efe in the Oval Office.
Trump also said the statements about North Korea “hurt” their dialogue efforts with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The president did not want to clarify, however, if now that Bolton has left office he would be willing to meet with Nicolás Maduro, and said: “I don’t want to talk about it.”
On Tuesday, the US president said through his Twitter account (@realDonaldTrump) that he had informed Bolton that “his services were no longer necessary in the White House,” because he “had not agreed” with his suggestions.
