University authorities of Venezuelan public institutions confirmed on Wednesday that they will not allow the Nicolás Maduro regime to violate the university autonomy of the main houses of study of the country, in relation to the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) that ordered elections of the authorities Rectorales at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).
Last Tuesday, the TSJ, which is under the command of Nicolás Maduro, through his Constitutional Chamber, ordered the holding of elections. However, these have been rejected by the main authorities of the UCV.
Even Juan Guaidó, president (E) of Venezuela, has reiterated that Maduro’s regime seeks to violate university autonomy. In addition, he has argued that “no one recognizes the authority of the regime’s TSJ.”
