Netflix, the world’s most popular streaming platform, announced that it will continue to innovate and make novel changes to improve the user experience.
One of the most attractive things about Netflix and that has made it gain popularity is its content recommendation algorithm. Despite the effectiveness of the program, the platform is testing the help of humans on iOS devices.
Netflix staff is choosing what to recommend through a new feature called “Collections.” Another of the new functions will be to be able to follow a particular collection that interests the user, something that social networks such as Instagram have already implemented. According to Merca2.0
“We are always looking for new ways to connect our fans with titles that we think they will love. That is why we are testing a new way to select Netflix titles in collections on iOS, ”a Netflix spokesperson told TechCrunch.
It is not certain that these tests remain permanently on the site, although they surely do so if Netflix manages to increase their ‘productivity’. Each time social networks are more similar to each other, and the various platforms choose similar paths to satisfy their users.
