Less than two weeks before the presidential elections in Uruguay, the campaign begins to warm up. This Wednesday the opposition candidate, Luis Lacalle Pou criticized his country’s position against the dictatorship of Maduro.

«It is a national shame what the Broad Front government has done with the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro,» said Lacalle Pou, of the National Party, during a forum with businessmen in Montevideo.

Lacalle Pou is second in the polls with 25% behind the aspiring official Daniel Martínez who has 33% support.

On October 27, Uruguayans will go to the polls to elect the successor of Tabaré Vásquez in the first magistracy, however that day it will probably not be known who will occupy the Executive Tower, headquarters of the presidential office.
