The president in charge, Juan Guaidó, condemned on Saturday the acts of xenophobia recorded in the last hours in Peru against Venezuelan migrants.
During a tour of Petare, the deputy also praised the work of the ambassador in Peru Carlos Scull, who made several tools available for citizens to report any type of attack.
He also recalled that the delegation that participated in the UN also requested to give refugee status to Venezuelans escaping from the dictatorship, because «there is an important vulnerability with respect to their roles.»
«In the very painful personal thing that we are suffering here and see that they suffer there to be able to insert themselves in that society, regardless of nationality, there are crimes committed there,» he said referring to the beating that a Venezuelan suffered by police in Peru.
He also noted that «it is not justifiable that any Venezuelan will commit a crime to another country.»
