The Government of the president in charge Juan Guaidó thanked on Wednesday for the support he received from the presidents and leaders of America regarding the crisis in Venezuela in the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN).
«We thank the presidents and leaders of America who have raised their voices for our country, demonstrating their clarity regarding the crisis in Venezuela and ratifying their accompaniment to the struggle of the entire Venezuelan people,» said the Government in charge through his account from Twitter (@Presidencia_Ve).
He also highlighted the support of presidents Iván Duque, Donald Trump and Sebastián Piñera, who intervened in the General Assembly and reiterated their condemnation of the Nicolás Maduro regime, as well as their support for Guaidó and his democratic route.
“What we have seen is the worst humanitarian crisis in the recent history of Latin America. We have to make a call to the world that this situation is unsustainable (…) The brutality of a dictatorship is only comparable to that of Slobovan Milosevic (Serbia). That is why we consider him a criminal (Nicolás Maduro) that is why we denounce him before the International Criminal Court (ICC), ”said Duque, Head of State of Colombia, from the UN.

«The Maduro regime does not care about the welfare of its own people, it cares about its own power. Our sanctions are focused on closing all the channels by which the regime is sustained, ”said Donald Trump, president of the United States.
For his part, Piñera said that «we need a government that organizes free and transparent elections, then it will begin the most difficult thing that is the recovery of Venezuela after the destruction left by the current regime.»
