Venezuelan Embassy in the United States alerts the international community about the armed threat of the Maduro regime for the stability and security of the region

We alert the international community about the insistence of usurper Nicolás Maduro to sow instability and anxiety in Venezuela and beyond our borders.

On Wednesday, September 5, in a public address, Maduro announced the deployment of “the missile system of air defense, ground defense, armored”; he said “we will deploy it from September 10 to 28” and said that during that time he will carry out exercises military in the 2,219 kilometers of border that Venezuela shares with Colombia.

This new affront to the peace and stability of the region is solely responsible for the usurper regime of Nicolás Maduro, who has not only brought hunger and despair to Venezuelans causing the greatest exodus in our history, with more than 4 million migrants and refugees scattered throughout the world, but also insists on generating anxiety with the help of external factors, including narcoterrorist groups, to sow instability in the region.

In the face of this new threat, we reiterate that we will not give up in our effort to stop and eradicate the hunger and suffering of our people and achieve the cessation of usurpation. This situation represents a new alert that should not be dismissed, on the contrary, it must raise the most resounding condemnation by those who believe in the peace and security of the region.

Maduro is responsible for an unprecedented humanitarian emergency, and cannot use blackmail to continue subjecting the population to a terrible political and humanitarian social crisis, affecting millions of citizens. He must respond for systematic violations of the human rights of Venezuelans, recently confirmed by the report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

A few days after the General Assembly of the United Nations, we urge the international community to keep the focus on the serious crisis in Venezuela and support our efforts to restore freedom to ensure that Venezuelans can redirect our democratic destiny in the short term .
