The president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, evaluates working together with the Colombian president, Iván Duque, for the protection of Venezuelan territory after the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc) called for arms.

«President Guaidó has been clear and said how Colombia will work together to protect the territory. All these denunciations will be investigated and tomorrow we will take a position in the session of the National Assembly, ”the vice president of Parliament, Stalin González, said during a press conference on Monday.

On August 31, Guaidó urged the members of the Armed Forces to expel irregular groups, such as the Colombian guerrilla of the ELN (National Liberation Army), in defense of Venezuelan sovereignty.

«Are you happy that these irregular groups continue to act freely at the border? (…) The invitation is that we exercise sovereignty, that we expel irregular groups from Venezuela, the invitation is really to enforce national sovereignty, ”said Guaidó during a press conference from the Aragua state.

He insisted that the regime of Nicolás Maduro, which he describes as dictatorship, «protects» and «finances» these groups of narcoterrorists.

Guaidó rejected that the regime is blaming Colombia for the rearmament of the former leaders of the dissolved guerrilla of the Farc, and assured, instead, that Maduro is to blame, because that group has a presence in Venezuela.
