During the last weeks, the US authorities have advanced in measures at all levels to increase the pressure on the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro and force his departure, including the inclusion of the regime’s official, Tareck El Aissami and his alleged collaborator, the businessman Samark López, among the list of the most wanted by ICE in North American territory for drug trafficking. On August 8, Venezuela was also included by the United States in the list of 22 countries that are important transit sites or large drug producers. Added to this are the sanctions against officials and family members of the Maduro regime, such as the Executive Order that restricts operations with the dictatorship, sanctions against the direct family members of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, and measures against executives of the DGCIM and their families.
.
In May 2018, the head of the illegitimate Constituent Assembly of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, was sanctioned by the US Treasury on charges of money laundering, smuggling of minerals and drug trafficking, especially for organizing drug shipments that move from Venezuela through the Dominican Republic and then to Europe.

We will continue to exercise, together with our international allies, all the necessary pressure until we get out of the dictatorship and conquer a #VenezuelaLibre
